The perfect escape from the daily hustle and bustle

A beautiful domain, a warm welcome by Geert and Jacqueline and a neat, spacious apartment with a great view... what more could you want? Geert said it himself: at Torre Nova you leave all your daily worries directly at the gate. And that's exactly right. It is the perfect place to explore the region and enjoy the absolute silence in the evening. Highly recommended for everyone!

Immersion in Catalan authenticity

We had a wonderful stay in Torra Nova and enjoyed the dream of Jacqueline and Geert. The surroundings are beautiful and you really are submerged in the Catalan history, culture, nature and fine cuisine. We hope to return but this time with the whole family.

Great place to wind down and relax

I may regret this because they will be to busy for me to get a room, but this is a Great place to wind down and Relax. Great owners we enjoyed talking with them at length and they give you all the recommendation so you don't have to spend your time figuring out where to go or to eat. Just an outstanding stay and Will be back

Recommended!

We have had a very pleasant stay in Torre Nova. Jacqueline & Geert proved to be very good hosts. We had a warm and personal welcome and they gave very valuable tips on what to do in the area. We ended up at all kinds of local festivities which we would never have been able to find ourselves, and gave us a genuine feel of what Catalonia is all about. It is as Geert mentions the Toscane of Spain, beautiful surroundings with pittoresk villages and very very good local food and the nicest people.

They have done an excellent renovation to the place with a very nice touch to the interior decoration. The appartement was very specious, immaculately clean and comfortable. And Jacqeline and Geert were always just around the corner if you needed them but never obstrusive. Just right.

One week wasn't enough to explore all places we had on our list. That list only build up during the week, discovering new places to go, new markets to visit. So definitely we will return some day.

Nice stay in Torre Nova with 2 teenage daughters who want to live there

In August we stayed at Torre Nova, chosen a bit randomly during our holiday trip from Bilbao to Catalunya. It turned out to be a bull's eye! What a beautiful place to catch your breath. And all this under the excellent and friendly care of Jacqueline and Geert, who have built this up together and are always ready for advice, household matters such as laundry, or just a chat - and all in a very relaxed atmosphere. They have even put together a photo book that clearly shows how intense the process of reconstructing such a mansion was. For those who want, there is plenty to see & do nearby. The complex itself is worth spending a few days. An old Marquess villa, perfectly renovated with maximum old details including the 4 meter high ceilings, but equipped with every comfort ala 5*. Our room had a direct view through a huge window of the old castle and church, the cute village and the surrounding nature. The swimming pool in the garden was sufficiently spacious, as was the surrounding garden, which was also beautifully landscaped. Our daughters, avid pool lovers. didn't even want to go to there but just hang out in the beautiful room. Thankfully using what Jacqueline and Geert maticously mapped out the fun & nice things in the area, we attended some local traditional events, such as the human towers in their clubhouse - really fun. Also nice were little village events like the coffee and sandwiches from the local bakery, he is always very happy with visitors from the hotel. Recommended, it's more than worth the price. We will definitely come back!

behind the Torre Nova gate you leave the world behind for a while

During our trip through Spain, we visited Torre Nova. And that turned out to be the cherry on the holiday cake. The resort is located in a completely non-touristy village, which gives a fantastic peace of mind. But also a nice connection with the small entrepreneurs in the village and its residents. The resort is perfect. We stayed on the first floor in apartment Castillo, and looked out over an amazing landscape with a castle, as if we imagined ourselves in a painting. And every facet in the room and the building has been thought through, both in the styling and the practicalities. Geert said upon our arrival: ´behind our gate you leave the world behind for a while´. And that is the absolute truth. The added value for us was the way in which we were taken care of by Jacqueline and Geert. We will never forget their tips (what to do where), passion for the adventure they have embarked on, their connection with the entrepreneurs and residents of the area and the nice conversations. And we are sure that we will go back more often. We had booked 4 days but canceled our next location to be able to stay longer in Torre Nova. And they still weren't ready to leave after that. We have experienced the most beautiful events, from human tower (castellers) to firecracker show (correfoc). And we visited the most fantastic local restaurants (on the advice of Geert and Jacqueline). All things we would never have found ourselves. And by coincidence we went to a match of FC Barcelona in the Champions League with Geert. This was the highlight of our fantastic stay. All in all, delicious and wonderful!

Thank you for your nice review and compliments! It is always nice to read the experience of a holiday on Torre Nova. You were indeed lucky, because in the days you were here there was a lot to do in terms of Catalan traditions: the castellers / human castles (goosebumps..), the correfoc / running fire (would be absolutely forbidden in the UK or the Netherlands ;) and of course the champions league game in Barça´s Camp Nou (coincidence does not exist..). Our concept is also deliberately to work together with the small entrepreneurs in our village and region (restaurants, shops, the bakery, etc). That certainly gives us goodwill and for you as guests it is authentic because we are indeed in ´the Tuscany of Catalonia´, but without tourists and close to Barcelona and the beaches too. We are glad that you had a great time with us and we look forward to seeing you again at Torre Nova!

Good for the soul!

Our second visit to Torre Nova. Geert and Jaqueline are such nice hosts and they've built a beautiful, serene resort that I would recommend to anyone as good for the soul. We'll be back. Thanks guys.

Great holiday again

Nice apartments outside the touristic centers, but close to them

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor with 2 large balconies. The apartment is very well equipped and has excellent furniture. Although it is an old mansion noise from the other apartments is very limited.
The house is next to lots of hiking trials into the woods around.
Information provided by the owners on the shops and restaurants could benefit from an update. Several of the listed restaurants in the village were closed and the small supermarket are limited in their offer. For proper shopping a drive of around 10 km is needed.
Overall a good experience!

Thanks for your nice review! It is somewhat difficult to keep all information in our digital up to date, as Spanish restaurants sometimes change their opening hours form one day to the other. But please note we now have a complete new digital information guide that is easier to update: the ´Torre Nova Experience´, whicjh you find on our website pages Apartments´ and ´On the move´. In the village the shops provide alle basic needs and large supermarkets you will find within 10 minutes drive. Thanks for your stay and we hope to see you back again soon!
