Barcelona!

Barcelona, the city of Gaudí's amazing buildings, like the Sagrada Familia or la Pedrera. Strolling along La Boqueria market, shopping in the majestic Passeig de Gracia or the old Gothic Quarter. Luxury designer boutiques, traditional tapas bars, renowned museums and performances at the Liceu and the Palau de la Musica Catalana. Or enjoy with the kids a visit to the Aquarium or the light-music show at the Font Mágica. At 45 minutes from Torre Nova.

Costa Dorada

Within 30 minutes by car from Torre Nova you reach the beaches of the Costa Dorada (Golden coast). The famous seaside village of Sitges, also known as the 'St. Tropez of Spain', traditionally a fishing and artists village. For beach fun, shopping, splendid food and nightlife. More 'Spanish' beaches are nearby, in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Coma Ruga and San Salvador.

Highlights in our region

Our region offers a surprising variety of highlights. Like the mysterious mountain of Montserrat (15 minutes) with its famous monastery and sculpture of the 'Black Madonna'. Visit the Penedès wine region (15 minutes) with its bodegas, famous for their great 'cava', or explore the numerous authentic villages around Torre Nova, where you form part of the Catalan day to day life.

Catalan gastronomy

In Spain enjoying food is the common thread throug the day. The kitchen is open late and it is not uncommon to dine at eleven PM, even with small children. You will find excelent restaurants around Torre Nova. From authentic village restaurants to high class restaurants.

Local traditions and celebrations

Catalonia has a rich culture and well-preserved traditions. Especially the summer festivals 'Festa Major' in every town and village show the pride and passion of its inhabitants. Colorful parades, music, dance, fireworks and food are the ingredients for an authentic experience. The 'Castellers' (human towers) are an absolute highlight, as well as the 'Correfoc' ('walking fire), an old Catalan tradition in which fire, dragons and devils play a key role. You have seen nothing like it!

Leisure activities

There is a wide choice of leisure and sports activities at and around Torre Nova. Such as swimming in the 15 x 5 m pool, table tennis, jeux de boules, or hiking in unspoilt nature directly from Torre Nova or on nearby Montserrat mountain. You can also go mountainbiking, horseback riding, play tennis or golf, go karting and even hot air ballooning. Not far from Torre Nova you will also find several aqua and amusement parks, such as Port Aventura, the largest amusement park in Europe, and Ferrariland.
