Torre Nova is located centrally in Catalonia and is a perfect starting point for special trips. The area offers plenty to see and do. Here you'll find some suggestions.

Barcelona!

Barcelona, city of the miraculous buildings of Gaudí. Strolling on the Rambla or shopping in the majestic Passeig de Gracia or the old Gothic Quarter. Luxury designer boutiques, traditional tapas bars, renowned museums and performances at the Liceu and the Palau de la Musica Catalana, and ... four km beach on the Mediterranean Sea. At 55 km from Torre Nova.

Montserrat

Torre Nova is situated near the mysterious mountain of Montserrat. A beautiful setting for walks. On the east side of the mountain you find the monastery with its basilica and the famous statue of the Black Madonna.

Sitges Beach

Within 30 minutes by car from Torre Nova you reach the seaside village of Sitges, it is also known as the 'St. Tropez of Spain'. Traditionally a fishing and artists village. For beach fun, shopping, splendid food and nightlife.

Wine tourism in El Penedès, Catalonia

Near Torre Nova begins the Penedès wine region. Known for its fine wines and cava. Besides the well known bodegas such as Torres and Freixenet, there are also smaller wineries that welcome visitors, such as the sympathetic Can Feixes family business.

Back in time: Montblanc and Poblet

At about 65 km from Torre Nova you find the Cistercian monastery of Poblet, founded in 1151. In 1991 it was declared World Heritage by UNESCO. The monks still live on the premises. Poblet is located near the medieval town of Mont Blanc, where according to the famous legend, St. George defeated the dragon.

The Pyrenees and Andorra

A 1,5 hour drive from Torre Nova takes you to the Pyrenees. In summer you can enjoy spectacular walks, in winter you can go skiing for a day. In the tiny principality of Andorra you have the opportunity of tax free shopping.

Shopping

Barcelona is a paradise for shoppers. At the stately Passeig de Gracia you'll find all the major fashion houses, the Spanish 'Harrods' El Corte Ingles at the Plaza de Catalunya and at the port the luxury shopping center Mare Magnum. Also, look for the surprising shops in to the old Gothic Quarter or the 'hip' Born district. Closer to Torre Nova there are also fun shopping opportunities: in Igualada (15 minutes), Vilafranca del Penedès (20 minutes) or in Sitges and Vilanova y la Geltrú (30 minutes).
